Plaud updates the NotePin with a button
Summary
Plaud has introduced the NotePin S, a minor update to its compact AI recorder that primarily replaces the previous haptic squeeze control with a physical button for more reliable recording activation. A long press starts recording, and a short tap adds highlight markers. The NotePin S maintains the original's design, color options, and features like Apple Find My support, but now includes a lanyard, wristband, clip, and magnetic pin in the box, whereas they were previously sold separately. The new device costs $179, $20 more than the original, which Plaud plans to phase out. Concurrently, Plaud launched the Plaud Desktop app for Mac and PC, which runs in the background to record audio from online meetings in apps like Zoom, Meet, and Teams. This desktop application is free for all owners of any Plaud Note or NotePin device and syncs recordings with the hardware devices, creating a unified library.
