Razer is making computers for AI developers now
Summary
Razer, known for PC gaming hardware, is now targeting the AI development market by launching a new, specialized workstation called the Razer Forge AI. This workstation features a rack-ready design, supports up to four professional-grade AMD or Nvidia GPUs, eight DDR5 slots, and is powered by an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro processor. It also includes a high-capacity 2,000W power supply and dual 10GB Ethernet ports for fast data transfer. In addition to the new Forge, Razer is also categorizing its existing powerful Blade 18 laptop and Core X V2 eGPU enclosure as "AI dev hardware." Pricing and availability for the bespoke Forge workstation are not yet public, requiring interested users to contact Razer's sales team, following similar moves by companies like Nvidia.
