Google’s Trends Explore page gets new Gemini capabilities

Google announced the launch of a revamped Trends Explore page, now integrated with Gemini-powered capabilities, which is rolling out on desktop. This update aims to streamline the manual work of exploring trending topics for content creators, journalists, and researchers by automatically identifying and comparing relevant trends related to user searches. The redesigned page includes a side panel for comparisons, suggested Gemini prompts for deeper exploration, and a refreshed design with dedicated icons and colors for search terms. Furthermore, Google increased the number of terms users can compare and doubled the rising queries displayed. This integration is part of Google's broader strategy to embed Gemini across its core products like Search, Gmail, Maps, and Docs.
