Apple might let you use ChatGPT from CarPlay

Apple is reportedly working on adding support for third-party chatbot voice control apps within CarPlay, potentially allowing users to interact directly with services like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, or Google's Gemini while driving. Currently, accessing these third-party chatbots requires using the iPhone. However, users will not be able to replace the dedicated Siri button or wake word; they will need to manually open the preferred chatbot application, although developers can set apps to automatically start voice mode upon opening. This rumored update, which could roll out in the coming months, follows Apple's recent announcement that Google Gemini will power an updated version of Siri later this year.
