Starting Tuesday, WordPress users can utilize a new AI assistant integrated into the platform's site editor and media library. This AI, accessible via a sidebar, enables users to edit and translate text, generate and modify images using Google’s Nano Banana, and make site adjustments such as creating pages or changing fonts. Users can also prompt the AI through the new block notes feature (added in the 6.9 update) by tagging it with “@ai” to request specific edits or headline suggestions. While sites created with the AI website builder launched last year have the tools enabled by default, other users must manually activate the “AI tools” in their site settings.
