Bumble adds AI-powered photo feedback and profile guidance tools

Bumble announced the rollout of several new AI-driven features designed to help users convert matches into lasting connections. Globally, the app is introducing an AI-suggested profile guidance tool that provides personalized, actionable feedback on bios and prompts. In the U.S., this is supplemented by an AI photo feedback tool intended to help users select better photos, though the advice offered is relatively basic, such as suggesting ditching photos where faces are obscured by sunglasses. Additionally, Bumble is testing a non-AI feature in Canada called “Suggest a Date,” which allows users to signal readiness to meet offline when conversations stall. Bumble CTO Vivek Sagi stated this feature aims to reduce friction and increase the likelihood of meaningful offline relationships. These additions follow a trend of dating apps like Hinge and Tinder integrating AI features to enhance user experience and combat swipe fatigue.
