Gemini for Home has launched Continued Conversation, a highly requested feature that makes voice interactions more natural and efficient. After an initial "Hey Google" command, Gemini keeps the microphone active for a few seconds, allowing users to ask follow-up questions without needing to reactivate the assistant. This upgraded feature offers improved conversational context, remembering previous parts of the conversation for smoother interactions. It also boasts multilingual support globally, smarter detection of household chatter versus commands to reduce accidental responses, and whole-home access for all users, including guests. To enable this feature, users can navigate to Home Settings > Gemini for Home voice assistant > Continued Conversation within the Google Home app.
