The Gemini app is now on Mac

Google has launched a native macOS version of its Gemini app, providing users with a faster and more integrated AI experience directly on their desktops. Available for macOS 15 and above, the app can be downloaded for free from gemini.google/mac. Users can access Gemini using a keyboard shortcut (Option + Space) to get help without switching windows. The app allows users to share their screen, including local files, for instant summaries and insights. It also facilitates quick image and video generation, enabling users to stay in their workflow. This initial release is described as the foundation for a more personal and proactive desktop assistant, with further updates planned.
