Anthropic releases a new Opus model amid Mythos Preview buzz

Anthropic has introduced Claude Opus 4.7, its most advanced generally available model, designed to improve performance in software engineering, image analysis, and creative document generation. While the company recently garnered attention for its powerful cybersecurity-focused model, Claude Mythos Preview, Opus 4.7 serves as a more accessible, slightly less powerful version of this technology. Anthropic is using the deployment of Opus 4.7 to test new cybersecurity safeguards, as Mythos Preview remains restricted to select enterprise partners. The company also announced a Cyber Verification Program for security professionals and noted that pricing for the new model will remain consistent with its predecessor, Opus 4.6.
