Otter’s new feature lets users search across their enterprise tools

Otter is evolving from a meeting transcriber into a comprehensive productivity platform by introducing enterprise search capabilities. By functioning as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) client, the service now allows users to connect and search across external tools, including Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Jira, and Salesforce. This update also features a redesigned AI assistant that remains context-aware across the interface and plans for future integrations with Microsoft services. Additionally, the company is expanding its botless meeting capture features while maintaining support for bot-based recording, which remains the preferred method for their enterprise clients due to transparency and data sharing benefits.
