OpenAI’s Codex is now in the ChatGPT mobile app

OpenAI has expanded the accessibility of its desktop AI tool, Codex, by integrating it into the ChatGPT mobile app for iOS and Android. This feature allows users to remotely manage and monitor Codex tasks running on their computers, such as reviewing outputs, approving commands, and switching models directly from their smartphones. While the mobile app acts as a control interface, sensitive data including files and credentials remain securely stored on the local desktop machine. The update is currently available as a preview for all ChatGPT users, including those on the free plan, as part of OpenAI’s strategic push to enhance its desktop capabilities.
