Updates, including screenshots and terminal output, flow back to the phone in real time, while sensitive data like files and credentials remain on the host machine. Codex utilizes a secure relay layer to maintain connectivity without direct internet exposure. The integration aims to facilitate timely guidance and intervention as Codex handles longer-running tasks, enabling users to start work, unblock processes, and monitor results remotely.
