Perplexity’s Personal Computer turns Windows PCs into AI agents

Perplexity has launched its agentic Personal Computer tool for Windows, allowing Microsoft's operating system to function as a locally run AI system. Similar to the Mac version introduced in April, this tool acts as a "general-purpose digital worker," accessing local files, applications, and the web to perform tasks like creating documents and updating spreadsheets. Building on previous Microsoft 365 and Teams integrations, the Windows version bridges the gap for enterprise work typically done locally. Aimed at paying Max and Enterprise Max subscribers starting at $200 per month, the tool emphasizes security by not training on company data and requiring user notification before sensitive actions.
