John Deere launched an AI chatbot for farmers

John Deere is testing its “JD” AI assistant with a limited group of US customers in the Operations Center, using field, machine and operational data to give advice on equipment settings, fuel use and harvest timing. The service includes a ten‑point Farmer Data Commitment that guarantees farmers retain control over their data, prohibits selling it, and outlines transparent sharing and usage policies. While the underlying AI technology has not been disclosed, the rollout plans to expand to web, mobile and eventually in‑cab tractor displays, and to serve turf, construction, roadbuilding and forestry customers.
