Adobe is trying to make its AI generators idiot-proof in Premiere

The Verge
Adobe is integrating AI video, audio, and generative tools directly into Premiere Pro to streamline editor workflows.

Summary

Adobe is overhauling its Premiere Pro video editing software to make AI tools more accessible and integrated within the editing timeline. The new Generative Media tool allows editors to generate video, sound effects, music, and soundscapes directly within a project by highlighting an empty gap, eliminating the need to switch between applications. Editors can choose from multiple underlying AI models, including Adobe Firefly, Google Veo, Runway, Luma, and Kling, to match their project's style. The update also introduces new AI audio tools (in beta) for separating overlapping speakers, ducking music, and adjusting dialogue and ambience. Additionally, Adobe is bringing its AI Assistant to After Effects (in beta) to help editors use natural language commands for project organization and technical tasks.
