Trump says US is officially renaming AI 'super intelligence'

In a speech at the UN General Assembly, President Donald Trump announced that the United States is officially renaming "artificial intelligence" to "super intelligence" (SI), arguing that the word "artificial" makes intelligence sound "fake." He stated that all US documents—and hopefully the world's—will be updated to use the new term. Trump also used the speech to rail against Iran, "globalists," and transgender people, and dismissed critics who warn about AI risks as the same people who made predictions about climate change and spread what he called hoaxes. He emphasized that the US leads China and others in AI development and pledged to continue encouraging "super intelligence" growth without stifling it, while noting that the Department of Justice and law enforcement bodies would monitor and rein things in if necessary. He concluded by asserting that Americans never retreat from a frontier and will never surrender their freedoms.
