Google Photos ‘Clueless’-inspired virtual closet is now available on Android and iOS

Google has launched its AI-powered virtual closet feature in Google Photos, inspired by Cher's iconic wardrobe app from the movie "Clueless." The feature, available on both Android and iOS in the US, Brazil, and India, uses AI to create a digital copy of your wardrobe based on photos of outfits you've worn. Users can filter items by category such as tops, bottoms, and jewelry, then mix and match them to create different outfits. Google assures users that data about their clothing and outfits is not shared with third parties like retailers. The rollout was first announced earlier this year, with Android users gaining access in June, and now the feature is available to all supported users. The virtual closet launch accompanies several other Google Photos updates, including Gemini Spark integration for selecting, brightening, and sharing photos with a single prompt (requiring a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription in the US), an upgraded Markup tool with redacting pen and custom sketch features, additional Remix templates, and new "Moods" photo filters for Android users that offer looks like 35mm film and 2000s digicam styles.
