Amazon’s Bee launches two new personal AI devices, starting at $75
Summary
Amazon’s personal AI wearable maker Bee has announced its first new products since being acquired by Amazon: the Bee Frontier, a wearable that can be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothes, priced at $74.99, and the Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone, priced at $99.99. Both devices use AI to capture and summarize everyday conversations, remember important details, and generate actionable to-dos, summaries, and insights—for example, creating calendar invites from discussions or taking lecture notes. They offer free conversation summaries and 14 days of memory, while an $11.99 per month Bee Pro subscription adds unlimited summaries, integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, and third-party apps, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, and conversation templates. Privacy is emphasized: raw audio is not stored, processed in real time and deleted; transcripts are encrypted with user-controlled keys. Optional Alexa integration allows voice recognition and hands-free access to insights or purchases. The devices also work with Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and Apple HealthKit. The Bee Frontier features IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery life, USB-C charging, and dual microphones, and is available now on Amazon, with the Eclipse coming soon. A redesigned mobile app and a new desktop app accompany the launch.
