Nvidia launches new open models to run agents in the enterprise and on PCs
Summary
Nvidia introduced new open-weight models aimed at always-on agents and edge computing. The flagship is the Nemotron 3.5 Super VL, a 120-billion-parameter model for enterprise agents that Nvidia says matches the larger Nemotron 3 Ultra in instruction-following and tool-use accuracy while using fewer parameters. Nvidia also launched two lightweight Bolt models for local AI PCs and workstations: the 74-billion-parameter Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB for multistep reasoning, tool calling and web browsing, and the smaller Bolt E4B for conversational agents. Nvidia claims Super VL completes certain agentic tasks faster than competing models from Anthropic and OpenAI when post-trained on those tasks, and says companies including Skydance, EY, Ramp, Crowdstrike, Perplexity and Salesforce are using it. The strategy targets enterprises that want to post-train and deploy models on their own infrastructure while opening a consumer market for locally run agents that avoid sending sensitive data to the cloud.
