Codex now offers pay-as-you-go pricing for teams

OpenAI is enhancing the accessibility of Codex for teams by introducing pay-as-you-go pricing for ChatGPT Business and Enterprise users. This allows teams to add Codex-only seats without fixed fees, enabling easier piloting and scaling of AI-powered workflows. Codex-only seats have no rate limits, with billing based on token consumption for transparent cost tracking. Alongside this, the annual price of standard ChatGPT Business seats has been reduced from $25 to $20. Eligible teams can also receive credits for new Codex users to encourage adoption. With over 2 million weekly Codex users and growing adoption within businesses like Notion and Ramp, these changes aim to further accelerate engineering workflows and AI integration.
