Google Photos uses AI to make the iconic closet from ‘Clueless’ a reality

Google Photos announced a new AI-driven feature that creates a digital wardrobe by automatically identifying clothing and accessories within your photo library. Inspired by Cher's virtual closet in the film "Clueless," the tool allows users to filter items by category, mix and match pieces to create new outfit ideas, and even virtually try on looks.

Users can save these combinations to digital moodboards for specific occasions like travel or work, or share them with friends. The feature is expected to roll out to Android users later this summer, with an iOS release to follow. This move positions Google to compete with existing fashion management apps by leveraging advanced AI to make sophisticated wardrobe styling accessible to everyone.
