The updated model enhances agentic coding, tool-use capabilities, and domain-specific intelligence in medicinal chemistry and genomics. To ensure scientific rigor, OpenAI developed LifeSciBench, a benchmark evaluating end-to-end research workflows. GPT-Rosalind is being deployed through a trusted-access structure, with early adoption by organizations like Novo Nordisk to accelerate data analysis and hypothesis testing in drug discovery. The update also includes new plugins for evidence retrieval and bioinformatics, aiming to streamline the transition from scientific inquiry to actionable laboratory results.
