Mistral is rumored to be raising €3B at €20B valuation

French AI lab Mistral AI is in early discussions to secure approximately €3 billion in new funding. If successful, this round would bring the company's valuation to €20 billion, nearly double its previous valuation from September.

Mistral has positioned itself as a European leader in artificial intelligence by promoting a sovereign and open approach compared to its U.S. competitors. While the startup continues to expand its partnerships with European governments and businesses, its total funding remains significantly lower than American counterparts like OpenAI and Anthropic.
