Monday.com lays off hundreds to focus on AI

Israeli workplace software maker Monday.com is laying off hundreds of employees as part of a restructuring plan to refocus its investments around AI projects. The company is reducing its headcount by 20%, or approximately 630 staff members, to establish a leaner operating model centered on its AI Work Platform. This platform, which became a core offering earlier this year, includes a no-code app builder, customizable AI agents, workflow automation tools, and a chatbot for tasks like report generation. Monday.com joins numerous tech firms cutting jobs in 2026 to invest in artificial intelligence, expecting to incur $45 million to $55 million in restructuring charges.
