Gemini for macOS adds new natural language capabilities

Google has introduced new natural language and voice capabilities to the Gemini app for macOS, designed to help users create, edit, and summarize content directly within their workflow. By long-pressing the Fn key, users can utilize intelligent dictation that automatically cleans up spoken words and inserts formatted text at the cursor. Additionally, users can opt into Gemini reasoning to perform complex tasks such as extracting and summarizing information from desktop files, composing and rewriting highlighted text, and generating or editing images using voice commands. The new feature is rolling out globally in English for macOS users.
