Google Assistant will disappear from your phone next month

Google has announced that Google Assistant will be removed from Android phones, tablets, and paired devices, including smartwatches, headphones, and cars running Android Auto, starting September 4th. This change is part of Google's transition to its new AI-enabled assistant, Gemini. Users in regions where Gemini is available and their devices meet the minimum requirements will only have access to Gemini. While access to Assistant will be removed from most mobile devices and their accessories, it will remain available on Google Home and Google TV devices for now. This accelerated shutdown was previously planned for 2025 but has now been moved up.
