Google will now allow users to remove visible watermark from its AI generations

Google has announced that users will soon be able to remove visible watermarks from AI-generated images, videos, and songs across models like Nano Banana, Omni, and Lyria. According to Josh Woodward, VP for Gemini, this new setting will be accessible via Gemini and Google's video editor, Flow, with Search support arriving soon. While visible marks become optional to accommodate creative and professional needs, invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA metadata will remain embedded to ensure transparency and allow AI content identification. Additionally, Google is open-sourcing a new library named Credentio to help developers integrate local validation mechanisms into their applications.
