Claude comes for Gemini with its own take on Docs and Slides

Anthropic has launched beta versions of Claude Docs and Claude Slides, two new productivity tools that allow users to create documents and presentations directly within Claude chats. These tools can be exported, edited, and shared. The announcement is accompanied by a "one Claude" update that merges regular chats and Cowork into a single interface, making all AI productivity tools, including Artifacts and Design capabilities, accessible from any conversation. Claude Docs features real-time collaboration similar to Google Docs, with shared links and commenting. The move is seen as a direct response to Google's integration of Gemini into its own productivity suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), aiming to close the feature gap and keep users within the Claude ecosystem. The "one Claude" update is rolling out to Pro and Max users first, with Team and Free access to follow.
