Apple might make servers again to cash in on the AI rush

Apple is reportedly planning to re-enter the server market, potentially partnering with Nvidia, to capitalize on the growing demand for AI compute power. After retiring its Xserve line in 2011, Apple sees an opportunity with its efficient ARM-based M-series processors, which have already proven popular with AI developers. The new server product, rumored for a 2029 debut, could feature two or four M8 Ultra chips. It may also incorporate Nvidia's NVLink Fusion technology to link multiple chips, signaling a potential thaw in their historically frosty relationship.
