Ramp is opening its internal AI tool Glass to other companies after burning through $1.5 million in AI tokens in a single week.

Summary

Ramp announced it will offer its in-house artificial intelligence tool, Glass, to other companies, according to a company blog post by Co-Founder and Co-CEO Eric Glyman. Ramp built Glass after a week in May in which the spend management firm spent $1.5 million on AI tokens. Glass is designed to turn company-specific information into tools usable across the organization, and so far 323 Ramp employees have made more than 6,500 edits to what the platform knows. For example, a new feature request process that was manually copied into Salesforce at 300 per month was replaced by a Glass prompt that now captures 20,000 per month. Each product includes a meter so users can see the cost of work as it happens, and every request runs through Ramp Router, which picks the right model for the job; moving its own work onto it cut Ramp's bill by 30% overnight. Separately, a PYMNTS Intelligence report found that 62% of surveyed companies spent over $10 million on new AI tools in the past year, and Ramp reportedly reached a $60 billion valuation after a $1.85 billion funding round.
