Amazon updates Alexa to help you manage shopping lists, subscriptions, and update delivery instructions

TechCrunch
Amazon added over 100 shopping features to Alexa, letting users manage lists, subscriptions, delivery instructions, payments, and Prime questions ahead of the holidays.

Summary

Ahead of the holiday season, Amazon has rolled out more than 100 new shopping-related capabilities for Alexa. Users can now create and register shopping lists, view and edit their contents, and add or modify items by voice. Alexa can also manage subscriptions, such as changing an item's delivery frequency from monthly to every three months, and edit delivery instructions like addresses or drop-off details. Additionally, users can ask Alexa about Prime or Audible subscriptions and get help with billing or payment issues. The update builds on Amazon's AI-centric shopping push this year, which includes a shopping assistant and product/offer notifications. Amazon says the number of people using agentic features has grown eightfold since the start of the year, and over 400 million consumers have used Alexa for shopping in the past 12 months.
