You can now generate, preview, and edit documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, and more directly in Gemini.

Google has introduced new capabilities in the Gemini app that enable users to generate, preview, and edit documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, code, and more directly within chats. Users can expand files to full screen for direct typing, highlight text to ask questions, or have Gemini refine files. PDF preview and editing are supported on both web and mobile, while other formats (Google Docs, Google Sheets, slide decks, Markdown, TXT, and code) are supported only on the web. An example shows creating a PDF study guide from handwritten notes, then manually editing it and asking Gemini to make further changes. These features are available to all users in all languages where the Gemini app is available.
