OpenAI appoints Jill Hazelbaker as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

OpenAI has appointed Jill Hazelbaker as its Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, tasked with leading the company's global communications and corporate positioning. She will work closely with leadership to deepen public understanding of AI and strengthen trust in OpenAI's mission. Hazelbaker brings nearly two decades of experience advising technology companies and political leaders. Most recently, she served as President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Uber, where over a decade she oversaw global communications, marketing, public policy, safety, and people teams and helped transform the startup into a major global technology platform. Before Uber, she led communications and public policy at Snap and held senior roles at Google in corporate communications and government relations. She began her career in U.S. politics, including as National Communications Director and Chief Spokesperson for Senator John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign and Press Secretary to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Her appointment reflects OpenAI's commitment to investing in leadership to engage with those shaping AI's future.
