Gemini for Home now plugs into AT&T’s smart security system

AT&T’s smart home security system, Connected Life, now integrates with Gemini for Home, making it the first home security product to work with Google Home Premium. The integration brings Gemini-powered features that provide detailed descriptions of security camera events, such as who delivered a package and how many items they dropped off. Users can also search recorded video footage using natural language questions and receive daily activity summaries. These features require AT&T’s $29.99 per month professional monitoring plan. Additionally, AT&T is adding automatic arming and disarming based on proximity to home. The Connected Life system, launched last December in partnership with Google and Abode, utilizes Google’s Gemini-powered Home APIs, with ADT also hinting at similar integrations.
