New ways to create faster with Gemini in Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive
Summary
Google is enhancing Gemini integration across Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive, making these tools more personal, capable, and collaborative for Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers starting today in beta. In Docs, Gemini can generate first drafts from personal files, refine text, and match writing styles or document formats. In Sheets, it can create, organize, and edit entire spreadsheets from a prompt, and the "Fill with Gemini" feature can populate tables with data from the web or existing files. Gemini in Slides now generates fully editable slides based on context and theme, with the ability to edit collaboratively, and is working on generating entire decks from a single prompt. Finally, Google Drive gains "AI Overview" in search results and an "Ask Gemini in Drive" feature to answer complex questions across files, emails, and the web, providing cited summaries without opening documents. These features are launching in English globally for Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and in the U.S. for Drive.
