Anthropic’s Claude AI can respond with charts, diagrams, and other visuals now
Summary
Anthropic has updated its Claude AI chatbot to allow it to generate custom charts, diagrams, and other visualizations directly within the conversation flow. If Claude deems a visual useful based on context, it will insert the image in-line. Users can also explicitly request diagrams, tables, or charts. For example, a discussion about the periodic table could result in an interactive visualization. This feature contrasts with Claude's existing "artifacts" feature, which creates persistent, downloadable creations in a side panel; these new in-line visualizations are dynamic and can change or disappear as the conversation evolves. Users can also request modifications to the generated visuals. The new visualization capability is rolling out immediately to all users and is enabled by default, placing Claude alongside competitors like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google Gemini, which also offer visual generation features.
