Google Meet will take AI notes for in-person meetings too
Summary
Google's AI-powered meeting notetaker, Gemini, has expanded its capabilities to include summarizing and transcribing in-person meetings, as well as those conducted on platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Previously, this feature was restricted to alpha users and only available on Android for in-person meetings. Users can initiate note-taking from the Google Meet home screen on mobile or desktop by selecting "take notes for me." Gemini will then generate a summary and "action items" in a Google Doc, which will be saved to the user's Google Drive. The feature is designed to be flexible, working for both scheduled and impromptu meetings without requiring users to be in a dedicated meeting room.
