Revamped Siri will reportedly offer auto-deleting chats

Apple is preparing to launch a more advanced, chatbot-like version of Siri in iOS 27, with a primary focus on user privacy. According to Bloomberg, the updated assistant will allow users to set chat histories to automatically delete after 30 days, one year, or to remain saved indefinitely. This strategy aims to position Apple's AI, branded as Apple Intelligence, as a more private alternative to competitors who often retain conversation data for personalization. While Apple is integrating Google’s Gemini technology for certain functions, it intends to enforce strict limits on data retention to mitigate rising consumer anxieties regarding artificial intelligence.
