Figma adds an AI assistant to its collaborative canvas

Figma has launched an AI assistant integrated directly into its collaborative canvas to help users automate tasks and streamline design workflows. By using natural language prompts, designers can generate new concepts, edit existing elements, or manage multiple agents simultaneously for complex projects. According to Chief Design Officer Loredana Crisan, these tools allow teams to focus on strategy and user experience rather than tedious execution. The feature is currently available in Figma Design, with plans to expand across the company's product suite as part of a broader strategy to bridge the gap between design and code.
