Robot hand company settles Tesla trade secret suit and announces $11M raise

Proception, a robotics startup founded by former Tesla technical lead Jay Li, has reached a settlement with Tesla regarding a trade secret lawsuit. Following the resolution of this legal dispute, the company announced an $11 million seed funding round led by First Round Capital. Proception is now focused on developing and shipping highly dexterous robotic hands that aim to mimic human movement. By utilizing sensor-laden gloves for data collection, the company plans to overcome current industry limitations in "dextrous manipulation" and provide high-quality hardware and data solutions to the broader robotics market.
