Acti puts AI agents directly into your smartphone keyboard

Singapore-based startup Acti has introduced a new AI-powered keyboard for iOS and Android designed to perform actions directly within existing applications. Powered by Google’s Gemini models, the keyboard allows users to execute multi-step tasks, known as “Skills,” without switching between apps. By prioritizing a local-first model for privacy and enabling users to create custom AI-driven shortcuts through plain language, Acti aims to redefine human-computer interaction. The company recently secured $5.3 million in seed funding led by BITKRAFT Ventures to support its mission of embedding AI intelligence into the most fundamental smartphone interface.
