Prentis, new AI lab co-founded by Reid Hoffman, Marc Pincus in talks to raise $100M

Prentis, a newly launched AI research lab focused on computer-use models and co-founded by Ritankar Das, Reid Hoffman, and Marc Pincus, is currently in talks to secure $100 million in funding at a $1 billion valuation. The startup aims to build AI agents that automate routine office workflows, having already secured up to $50 million in contracted value from several enterprise customers. Despite entering a crowded market alongside competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic, Prentis claims its Hive-32B model achieves superior performance and significantly lower operational costs on standard computer-use benchmarks.
