Build and manage Connected Apps in one place
Summary
Google is launching a preview of its Connected Apps Platform, a unified way for developers to build and manage apps that bring their capabilities directly into Search and the Gemini app. Developers can integrate with a cloud-hosted MCP server or Android MCP using the AppFunctions APIs, then use the Google Connected Console to register, test, submit, and track their app. Before review, developers decide whether the app goes live in Search, the Gemini app, or both, and afterward they can monitor traffic, latency, and error rates while maintaining control of their brand identity. Access is opening in phases, with more developers, markets, and Google products to be added over the coming months. Google also announced more than 50 Connected Apps already live between Search and Gemini, including integrations with partners like Adobe, Experian, Localiza, and Peloton, with Calm coming to both Search and Gemini.
