Google's NotebookLM has upgraded its video overview feature to create fully animated, "cinematic" videos summarizing user research and notes. Previously, this feature only generated narrated slideshows. The new capability leverages a combination of Google's AI models, including Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3, to produce animated visuals. Gemini is responsible for determining the best narrative, visual style, and format, and refining the output for consistency. This update follows recent AI video advancements from Google, such as upgrades to the Veo model and the demo of "Project Genie." Cinematic video overviews are available starting today for users over 18 with a Google AI Ultra subscription, limited to 20 videos per day, and are currently only in English.
