We tried Google’s AI glasses and they’re almost there

At the Google I/O developer conference, Google provided a hands-on preview of its upcoming Android XR glasses. These prototypes feature an in-lens display capable of overlaying information like weather, navigation, and live translation onto the real world. Powered by Gemini, the glasses support voice commands, photo capture, and object identification. While currently in the prototype stage with focus on display technology and battery life, the glasses are designed to eventually complement Google's upcoming audio-only models, offering a hands-free alternative to smartphone interaction.
