Turkey blocks at least 12 Grok posts on national security grounds

Turkish courts have blocked access to at least 12 X posts generated by the AI chatbot Grok since February 2025, citing national security and public order grounds. The restricted posts involved allegations against high-ranking government officials, politicians, and public institutions, including claims of nepotism, stock market manipulation, academic appointment irregularities, and fake diplomas. Digital rights experts and lawyers have warned that these measures represent a worrying expansion of online censorship, potentially controlling how AI systems respond to public interest topics and undermining the public's right to information.
