Zoom introduces an AI-powered office suite, says AI avatars for meetings arrive this month

Zoom announced a suite of new AI-powered tools, including long-awaited photorealistic AI avatars for meetings, set to launch later this month. These avatars mimic users' appearances and expressions, working in both live meetings and asynchronous video messaging. Alongside the avatars, Zoom is introducing AI Docs, Slides, and Sheets, available in preview this spring, which leverage meeting transcripts and data to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The company is also adding deepfake detection technology to alert participants to potential impersonation. Zoom’s AI Companion 3.0 is expanding to the desktop app, and its AI assistant is coming to Workvivo, integrating with platforms like Slack and Salesforce. Zoom is also offering AI APIs for developers and enhancing its chat experience with AI-powered insights and summaries, aiming for a unified design across all platforms.
