Facebook Marketplace adds AI auto-replies for annoying ‘Is this still available?’ messages

Facebook Marketplace is introducing several new AI-powered features designed to improve the experience for sellers. A key addition is an auto-reply function, utilizing Meta AI, to respond to frequently asked questions like “Is this still available?”. Sellers can enable this feature when creating listings, and the AI will generate editable responses. Beyond auto-replies, Meta AI can now analyze photos of items to automatically populate listing details and suggest appropriate pricing based on comparable items in the area. The platform is also updating its shipping menu and introducing AI-generated summaries of seller profiles, providing buyers with information about the seller’s account history, friend count, and Marketplace activity to build trust and transparency.
