Turkey’s justice ministry has deployed an artificial intelligence tool called the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Organization Prediction Project to analyze legal documents and predict associations with groups designated as terrorists. While the ministry claims the software prevents human error and improves data management, legal experts warn it could institutionalize flawed past judicial practices and systemic rights violations condemned by the European Court of Human Rights. Critics also emphasize a lack of transparency regarding the system's training data, error rates, and safeguards against bias within a heavily politicized judiciary.
